This is a book that I first read in middle school, not knowing that someday its author would be one of my professors. Although this book is popular in the local paranormal underground/students of Mr. Eberle, it doesn't have a vast following.

However, the book is entertaining and intriguing, capturing multiple instances of hauntings in and around the Grand Rapids area. Included in the book are stories about haunted houses in Heritage Hill and the legend of the Ada Witch.

This is early work by Mr. Eberle is probably his most controversial, and whenever students ask him about it, he will often deflect the subject or deny that he thinks any of these stories are legitimate. Whether they are or are not, this book is easy-to-read yet exciting for people of all ages, and I highly recommend picking up a copy.
